• Start official hiking leader course Schweizer Wanderwege January 2027
• Bachelor’s degree in Leisure Management.
My personal hiking experience includes 7 years of day hikes and hut-to-hut routes in the Swiss Alps and 2 years in the Canadian Rockies, as well as completing several trekkings in Central America and most recently the West Highland Trail in Scotland.

Why I love being outside
Why I started Get Lost with Lieke
For me, time in nature brings space to breathe, clear my head and discover somewhere new. I love being out on the trail, taking in the mountain views, unexpected wildlife encounters and a stop for good food along the way. I’m especially fond of chasing sunrises and sunsets, watching the changing light transform the mountains. Every walk holds a little adventure, with new views waiting around the next bend, while helping me slow down, unwind and feel at peace.
With Get Lost with Lieke, I get to share what I love most about Switzerland: mountain adventures, chasing sunrises and sunsets, discovering local places and enjoying good food along the way. Whether you join me on a hike or explore with one of my digital travel guides, I’d love to help you find your own adventure, at your own pace and with time to enjoy it all.
Originally from the Netherlands, I now call Alpnach home. With the mountains and lakes of Central Switzerland close by, it’s a place where I love spending time outdoors.
