Leave the crowds and everyday routines behind as we hike deeper into the Maderanertal. We carry what we need, sleep in three characterful mountain huts and wake up surrounded by peaks instead of plans. I take care of the route, reservations and practical details, so you can focus on walking, connecting and experiencing the mountains.

MADERANERTAL TREKKING

What can you expect?

The Journey

The Maderanertal is the kind of place that reminds you why you came to Switzerland in the first place. It is raw, green and wonderfully quiet, with powerful waterfalls, deep valleys and rugged peaks rising above the trail. Mobile reception becomes unreliable, daily life feels far away and the rhythm becomes beautifully simple: walk, eat, rest, repeat.

This is more than a series of hikes. It is four days of travelling through the landscape on foot, carrying only what you need and ending each day somewhere that can only be reached by walking. You will experience three very different mountain huts, share meals with the group and watch the valley change as we move deeper into the mountains.

Who this trek is for

This adventure is for you if you already enjoy hiking and are ready to experience several days in the mountains. You like a physical challenge, but you also want time to pause, take photos and enjoy where you are. You do not need previous hut-to-hut experience, although you should already feel comfortable walking on mountain paths.

You should be able to:

  • Walk for approximately five hours a day, excluding longer breaks

  • Hike uphill and downhill for several days in a row

  • Carry your own backpack with everything you need for four days

  • Walk confidently on uneven, rocky and occasionally narrow mountain trails

  • Manage sections where the trail may be steep or exposed

  • Accept simple shared accommodation and changing mountain weather

This trek is not suitable if you have a strong fear of heights, are uncomfortable on narrow mountain paths If you are unsure whether the trek matches your level, contact me before booking. We can discuss your experience honestly and decide whether this is the right adventure for you.
