We set off from Lütoldsmatt, our headlamps lighting the trail towards Pilatus Kulm. As we climb, the first colours of dawn appear on the horizon. We reach the Matthorn in time for sunrise, where we enjoy a light breakfast as golden light spreads across Lake Lucerne and the surrounding peaks.
