ALETSCH GLACIER TREKKING
Expect full days outdoors, substantial climbs and descents, and moments to take in the landscape together. The rhythm of each day is shaped by the route, the group and the conditions. This is a small-group journey with a personal approach: Lieke organises the route, accommodation and preparation, and accompanies you throughout the trip.
Our four nights combine two hotel stays with two mountain-hut stays. Rooms and hut sleeping arrangements are shared, and hut facilities are simple. Shared dinners and evenings together are part of the experience. You carry your own trekking bag and overnight essentials, and receive a packing list and an online preparation meeting before departure.
The longest stage is approximately 19 km, and the largest daily ascent is approximately 1,670 m and you shoul not be afraid of heights. Previous experience with demanding mountain hikes will help you judge whether this journey matches your abilities. Being comfortable with shared accommodation, a group pace and possible programme changes is also part of joining the trip.
If you enjoy mountain landscapes, shared adventures and the simplicity of hut life, this journey may be a good fit. Unsure about the physical demands? Get in touch with Lieke and tell her about your recent mountain-hiking experience before booking.
